Interface Modules (EIMs) |
|

|
Electrical
Interface Modules (EIMs) connect the EOTec 2000
modem nodes to the "copper based" PLC
devices and fieldbus networked equipment.
A
maximum combination of five electrical or optical
interface modules may be connected together in
one modem node. Inter-module communications and
operating power is achieved through the integrated
module backplane "BUS" connections of
the EOTEC 2000 architecture.

Optical
Interface Modules (OIMs) connect the EOTec 2000
modem nodes to the fiber optic cable network,
and transfer network data between nodes. Cascade
different optical modules in a single modem assembly
and optically link modems utilizing 850/1300nm
optical wavelengths, Multi-mode or Single mode
fiber, and SMA or ST* connectors.

| Self-Healing
Ring Modules |
|

|
The
Patented 2C3x series Self-Healing Ring Modules
provides fiber media redundancy when utilized
in each node or drop of a EOTec 2000 system fiber
optic ring-network. Three versions of the module
are available:
The
Model 2C31 and 2C32 are designed specifically
for use in ControlNet® applications in conjunction
with the Model 2C20 Electrical Interface Module
(2C31 for Single Channel and 2C32 for Dual Channel
(redundant) communication networks.
The Model 2C30 supports non-ControlNet® applications
in conjunction with any Electrical Interface Module
other than the 2C20.

| Power
Supply Modules |
|

|
Several
power supplies are offered in EOTec 2000 System
to conform to available power sources.
Mix
and match Power Supply Modules in a node to provide
the option of "Hot-Swappable" dual power
supplies with diagnostic outputs, eliminating
"Single Point of Failure" locations
in the network.
Output
power is distributed to other modules in a node
via the internal EOTec 2000 BUS.
