Single
Channel ControlLogix PLC Plug-in Weigh Module
Hardys
HI 1756-WS is a single slot, single scale, weigh
scale module that mounts in an Allen-Bradley
ControlLogix® local or remote Chassis.
It reads weight and diagnostic data from strain
gauge load sensors or load cells and communicates
this data over the I/O chassis Backplane to the
ControlLogix Processor. The HI 1756-WS module
reduces installation costs, since no external
stand-alone scale instrument with a wired communications
link to the PLC is needed.
FEATURES
Two
or three bi-color LEDs on the modules front
panel report functional characteristics. Being
a true ControlLogix module the HI 1756-WS supports
removal and insertion under power
C2®
ELECTRONIC CALIBRATION
C2
enables electronic calibration of the weigh system
without test weights. This saves system start-up
costs and aggravation. Of course, even if C2 certified
load sensors are not used, the system can still
be calibrated the slow, traditional way using
certified test weights.
WAVERSAVER®
WAVERSAVER
eliminates the effects of unwanted plant vibration
on or around the scale by permitting the weigh
module to see through the unwanted
vibration signals - as low as 0.25Hz - while yielding
a stable actual reading.
INTEGRATED
TECHNICIAN®
INTEGRATED
TECHNICIAN, used in conjunction with an IT Junction
Box, provides built-in system diagnostics that
enable you to troubleshoot and diagnose your weighing
system. You can read individual load sensor voltages
and weights, make comparisons, and isolate individual
system components for quick and easy troubleshooting.
THE
BUTTON®
With
one push of a button the weigh scale module automatically
calibrates the C2 certified weighing system, making
it ready for use. This saves system start-up time
costs and aggravations.

4050 Hardy
Weight Controller |

|
This
weight controller / weight indicator acts as a
front end to a PLC, PC or DCS system for most
weighing applications, or as a stand-alone for
simple control or weight monitoring.
Modularity
Configure the HI 4050 weight controller
to suit your applications:
- Specify
it with or without a display
- Choose
either AC or DC power
- Add
some Digital I/O
- Select
a communication network: Analog, DeviceNet,
EtherNet/IP, Allen-Bradley Remote I/O, Profibus,
or Modbus TCP/IP
- Choose
between a panel/remote mount and a DIN rail
mount. With a display, you choose either to
panel mount the entire assembly, or to mount
the controller housing assembly remotely.
Ease
of Installation Installation is easy,
with no special tools or expertise required. Just
drill five to nine standard holes in your panel,
and attach the front panel keyboard display. There
is no rectangular cutout required. The controller
housing can be attached to the rear of the panel
or remotely up to 100 feet away to a DIN rail.
Need to replace an HI 2151/30WC or HI 2110WI?
Just drill four holes and plug the HI 4050 controller
in.
Small
Footprint The HI 4050 Series controller
is designed to optimize panel space and depth
is only 76.2 mm (3 in).
Ease
of Set-up By using its embedded web
server, you can access the weight controller remotely
to control information, instrument parameters
and diagnose problems. Front panel keys and graphic
display with simple menus provide quick easy setup
with process weight and parameter display.
Accessibility
The embedded EtherNet communications port
in the HI 4050 weight controller enables users
to easily share data across a production facility,
eliminating the time and costs associated with
new network wiring.

The
Hardy Instruments HI 3030 Weight Controller is
a flexible, world-class weight controller that
can monitor and control up to four scales simultaneously.
The
Multi-scale weight controller can act as a front
end to a PLC, PC or DCS system for applications
such as level, batching, filling, dispensing,
and check weighing, or as a stand alone for simple
control or weight monitoring.
As
a bridge to a PLC, its four scales can share one
network connection, whether its DeviceNet,
ControlNet, Ethernet/IP, Allen-Bradley Remote
I/O, or Profibus. You can also link additional
HI 3030s with their multiple scales and share
the same network connection. Just like the other
Series 3000 products, you can configure or monitor
the HI 3030 operating using your Palm OS PDA,
web browser, or network interface.

Hardy
Instruments Filler/Dispenser Controller Model
HI 3010 is designed to fit nearly any filling,
dispensing, or Intermediate Bulk Container Application.
The
HI 3010 handles all materials from all types of
feeding mechanisms (gates, feeders, or valves)
to all types of destination (packages, containers,
vessels, or trucks).
Whether
filling or dispensing solids, liquid or gases,
the Hardy Instruments Filler/Dispenser automates
your entire process. The HI 3010 achieves accurate
and repeatable results, not only through the use
of our core weight control technologies, but also
because it controls, monitors, and tunes the entire
filling or dispensing operation.
As
a stand-alone controller, it offers fast and slow
speeds with auto self-adjusting preacts for fast
precise process control. Built-in totalizers keep
you up to date as to the number of cycles and
amount of material in the cycle, as well as history
totals for each of the twelve internally stored
material configurations. Output alarms warn you
of overfills, feed timeouts, out of tolerance,
not OK to fill, too many jogs, if the discharge
gate is not responding, and even when to change
an intermediate bulk container.
